Buddhist/Contemplative Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy was developed by Maura and Franklyn Sills at the Institute, located in beautiful Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England.

Naropa University was founded by Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche as a university that would combine contemplative studies with traditional Western scholastic and artistic disciplines.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Internationally renowned Pilates studio that offers the best in classial Pilates. The instructors here are not only highly trained in the method, but are also personally developed individuals who work with clients in a gentle, humanistic and genuine way. The Pilates Center is also highly respected as the world's foremost teacher training school for Pilates instructors.

Meditation and Retreats

A Buddhist monastery founded by Zen master and author, The Most Venerable Thich Nhat Hanh, as a center for mindfulness practice and retreats for monastics as well as lay people.

The Karuna Institute offers Kum Nye meditation retreats on a regular basis. Kum Nye is a form of meditation with movement which helps to develop a deeper connection with the self. Especially helpful if sitting still for long periods is found to be difficult. It is also helpful in releasing physical and emotional tensions held within the body.

Contemplative Practices

Founded by Richard Freeman, a highly regarded Ashtanga Yoga teacher in the tradition of K. Patthabi Jois of Mysore, India. Practising at this studio is an example of practising with Sangha. In addition to being dedicated Yoga practitioners, the instructors at this studio are living examples of mindful living.

Zenko Kyudojo was founded by kyudo master and imperial bowmaker Kanjuro Shibata XX and Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Shibata sensei says that "Kyudo is meditation. The main point of kyudo practice is to polish your heart, deeply."
